Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are the experts in face, mouth and jaw surgery. For 20 years, Jelic Center has been dedicated to providing outstanding Oral and Maxillofacial Care to people in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill community.

Our practice is a state of the art facility where we use the most technologically advanced, Cone Beam CT and low-dose digital x-ray imaging software for optimum diagnosis and treatment planning. Our facility is equipped with SimPlant®, a tremendous diagnostic and treatment planning software assuring the highest degree of accuracy for placing implants. Simplant® allows maximal function and aesthetic benefit even with the most complex jaw, bone and dental reconstruction and SMILE DESIGN. SimPlant® also allows for a no incision, minimally invasive dental implant surgery, and with Immediate Smile® software, immediate implant and same day restoration of implants.

For our patients requiring facial bone reconstruction such as orthognathic corrective jaw surgery for malocclusion or sleep apnea, we combine Medical® Modeling virtual surgical planning VSP Orthognathics® with the Dolphin Imaging System 3D software. This ensures the most accurate diagnosis and treatment planning possible. Our patients appreciate Dolphin’s morphing function which simulates the changes they can expect in their post-operative facial appearance. Our technology allows Dr. Jelic the ability to perform virtual surgery several times before entering the operating room and can further enhance surgical accuracy with custom design bone plates and customized contour facial implants.

But we didn’t forget about your comfort. We have created a calm and private environment to alleviate as much anxiety as possible. Our electronic records and on-line forms allow you to quickly and accurately complete all documentation necessary for your consultation in the familiar surroundings of your home or work. Every member of our team is dedicated to making sure you are prepared before your visit, thoroughly informed during our consultation, and completely satisfied you have received the highest degree of personal care and service that is possible.

Center also offers virtual consultations through telemedicine. This is an advantage for our patients traveling distances or from out of state. Our telemedicine option is also an advantage for patients that have eldercare/childcare challenges or want to minimize time lost from school or work.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but after today I feel morally obligated. If you’re putting off getting your wisdom teeth out because you’re terrified… stop. Seriously. Dr. Jelic and his entire team somehow turned what I assumed would be a medieval torture session into what felt like checking into a spa that just happens to remove teeth. I had one of the easiest medical experiences of my life. From the second I walked in, every single person on the staff was warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to be there. It never felt like I was “just another patient.” Everyone took the time to make sure I was comfortable, answered every question, and somehow managed to make an oral surgery appointment feel… relaxing? They even tucked me in with a warm blanket. A BLANKET! At that point I wasn’t sure if I was getting my wisdom teeth removed or checking into a five-star hotel. Dr. Jelic is incredible. He’s calm, confident, and explains everything in a way that instantly puts you at ease. I was dreading the numbing shots because everyone says they’re the worst part. I never felt them. Not “they weren’t that bad.” I literally didn’t know he had already done them. The next thing I was thinking, “So… when are we starting?” Apparently we had already finished. My wisdom teeth were gone, and I was sitting there trying to process how something I was stressed about lasted what felt like five minutes. You can tell this office has built a culture where everyone truly cares about the people walking through the door. That kind of kindness isn’t something you can fake, and it made all the difference. If I ever need oral surgery again (hopefully not anytime soon), there isn’t another office I’d even consider. Dr. Jelic and his entire team turned something I was dreading into an experience that was surprisingly comfortable, and dare I say… enjoyable? If you need oral surgery, don’t waste your time looking anywhere else. This team is the real deal.

I had my wisdom teeth removed last week and I’ve been putting it off for years because I have a phobia of needles and I can finally say I have had them removed and wouldn’t be scared to do it at all if I had to again with Dr.Jelic. Everyone was extremely nice and upfront about everything. First thing I said when I got in the car after was “everyone was so nice, I want to give them a hug” 😂 Turns out there was no reason to put it off all these years. I just need to find the Jelic Center!

Being treated by Dr.Jelic was a wonderful experience. It was so peaceful that I forgot I came in for extraction in the first place! The staff also made the process so easy and care free. The atmosphere of the office is so cozy and it’s an incredible experience. Cat is an amazing schedule coordinator! From the front desk all the way to the clinical team it was always so professional and I felt comfortable to ask anything and express my concerns. Everything was worth it!
